Chancellor Rebecca Blank welcomes and congratulates faculty of color at UW-Madison
Chancellor Rebecca Blank

The University of Wisconsin–Madison’s annual fall Faculty of Color Reception will welcome newly hired faculty of color to the campus and recognized others who were promoted to assistant and full professor during the past year.

Chancellor Rebecca Blank and Provost Karl Scholz will join the deans of the schools and colleges to celebrate recent faculty promotions and welcome new faculty members on Monday, October 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge of the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon Street. Masks are required, but we will open the doors to the surrounding balcony for safe networking.

Co-hosted by LaVar J. Charleston, deputy vice chancellor for diversity & inclusion, and University Committee Chair Eric Sandgren, the event is a wonderful time to connect and reconnect with colleagues from across the campus and honor faculty members who have been promoted to associate and full professor. Faculty honorees and participants may invite a mentor or valued colleague to join us as we launch the 2021 fall semester together.
