Campus, community celebrate Juneteenth; flag to fly at UW–Madison for first time
The Wisconsin Union will display the Juneteenth flag at Union buildings from June 18 to 21 to commemorate the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people were freed in the former Confederacy.
