History & Mission

The Office of Strategic Diversity Planning and Research (OSDPR) was created within the Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement (DDEEA) in 2020 to support the DDEEA and other campus units in the planning, execution, and monitoring of efforts relating to diversity, equity and inclusion on campus as well as assessing and reporting on the impacts of those efforts on the campus community.

OSDPR supports the university’s mission to foster a more equitable, just and inclusive campus for all by:

  1. Supporting thought leadership and strategic planning and execution in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion
  2. Monitoring the implementation of the campus’s Diversity Framework and accompanying R.E.E.L. Change action plan (PDF)
  3. Aligning divisional offices and programs with the Strategic Priorities (PDF) of the DDEEA and the Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion

OSDPR can provide consultation, data analysis, and survey support for initiatives relating to diversity, equity and inclusion at UW–Madison.
