Justin Kotoris

Justin Kotoris serves as the executive assistant to the deputy vice-chancellor, vice provost, and chief diversity officer (CDO) of UW–Madison. Kotoris is the primary contact for Dr. Charleston’s calendar and scheduling and is responsible for all in-person needs and inquiries for the CDO office. In his time at the UW–Madison, Kotoris has worked in various administrative positions but has primarily focused on administrative spaces related to the university’s equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging goals and initiatives.

Kotoris received his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Elon University and his Master of Arts in Religious Studies from Indiana University-Bloomington. Kotoris’s research focused on perceptions of gender and sexuality in Hindu literature, specifically in medieval North Indian philosophy and ancient Sanskrit devotional texts.
