Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, everyone who intends to graduate must complete the following graduation checklist:

Let us know you are graduating! Complete the apply to graduate application in the Student Center of My UW. This ensures your name is printed in the commencement program. All graduates must complete their application by Wednesday, April 4. If you have already applied to graduate, are wondering if you have applied or want to check if your information has been entered correctly, access the graduation application and make any necessary updates. A demo is also available.

Save the date with family and friends! No tickets are required to attend either commencement ceremony, and there is no limit to the number of guests a graduate may bring. Be sure to alert your friends and family about the event dates and times, and direct them to the commencement website for more information.

Get your commencement attire! Check out the University Book Store’s graduation timeline for information regarding securing a cap and gown for the ceremony. All graduates must wear cap and gown attire in order to participate in the ceremony.

Celebrate! Each school and college will celebrate its graduates with a recognition event during commencement week. You will hear more about these events directly from your school or college as details become available. You can also check our events page for more details.

Still have questions? Find answers at www.commencement.wisc.edu, including information for you and your family via FAQs specific to each ceremony, whether at Camp Randall Stadium or at the Kohl Center.
