Second Campus Climate Survey to assess student experiences of UW campus

Graphic with a bullhorn drawing inside a cartoon speech bubble with bold black and white words reading "Campus Climate Survey"UW–Madison will invite all undergraduate, graduate, professional, and non-degree-seeking students to take part in a Campus Climate Survey from Oct. 19 until Nov. 8, 2021. An estimated 47,000+ students will be eligible to participate in the survey.

UW–Madison is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. In 2016, in response to a call put forth in the UW–Madison Diversity Framework, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement and the UW Survey Center administered the first ever campuswide survey.

Now, five years later, the university will again administer a campuswide survey to understand students’ experiences with and perceptions about campus climate and diversity, including how people of different backgrounds and identities experience life at UW–Madison.

In addition to emails from campus leaders including Chancellor Rebecca Blank, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Lori Reesor and Deputy Vice Chancellor and Chief Diversity Officer LaVar J. Charleston, the campus will reach out to students with The Weekly email newsletter, digital ads in the dining halls and dorms, and social media (Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook).

Make sure your voice counts and watch for an email about the 2021 campus climate survey!
