UW–Madison will fly the flag of the Ho-Chunk Nation at Bascom Hall for more than six weeks this fall, including Indigenous Peoples Day in October and the entirety of National Native American Heritage Month in November.

September 15 is Treaty Day in Madison, Wisconsin, marking the day in 1832 when the Ho-Chunk Nation was forced to cede 3 million acres, including Teejop (Four Lakes), to the United States.
