Torsheika Maddox

Torsheika Maddox is the senior operations officer (SOO) for the Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement (DDEEA) and chief of staff (CoS) to the vice chancellor for inclusive excellence. Dr. Maddox oversees the communications and events units, divisional operations, and leads special projects that the DDEEA undertakes in partnership with campus and community constituents. She also supports the vice chancellor for inclusive excellence in his role to lead the campus toward creating equitable and inclusive working and learning environments for students, faculty, and staff at UW-Madison, while ensuring that our student scholarship and high impact programs continue to support the holistic development of our students.

Dr. Maddox earned her two master’s degrees in Population Health and Sociology and Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Rutgers University.
