Christi Carter is passionate about the work of promoting Equal Employment Opportunity and Access in higher education. She comes from James Madison University as the Director for the Office of Equal Opportunity where she provided leadership as the Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Officer, ADA 504 Coordinator including the investigations of complaints regarding protected characteristics discrimination and retaliation. She has previously worked at Georgia Tech Research Institute and the University of Wyoming.

Christi obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications from Bowling Green State University, a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Wyoming and is currently in the last year of her doctoral program at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Christi is excited about promoting UW-Madison as a place where employees can find success, opportunities to thrive, and a sense of belonging. She looks forward to collaborating with campus partners and beyond to support UW-Madison’s mission and vision, standards of excellence, and workforce development.
