The Gender and Sexuality Campus Center (GSCC) and the Public History Project will host a free event on Oct. 18 exploring LGBTQ+ history at UW–Madison from the ’90s to now.
The event, “We Are Here: A journey through activism with and for LGBTQ+ communities at UW–Madison,” will feature a panel of speakers including the founder of UW’s GSCC, an ROTC protester, QTPOC organizers, a former ASM chair, and recent alumni. After the panel, check out the traveling art exhibit “We Will Always Be Here: Wisconsin’s LGBTQ+ Historymakers”
featuring eight change agents imagined by Madison artist nipinet landsam. A catered reception will follow.
