Kristina serves as the Director of Events for the Division of Diversity, Equity & Educational Achievement, where she leads the Events Unit. Her team organizes and executes year-round signature events and provides consultation services on in-person, digital, and hybrid events. Their mission is to exemplify organizational excellence by embodying EDIB values in it’s practices, policies, and procedures to support the DDEEA Leadership and strategic priorities through events. Key signature events include the annual Diversity Forum, Faculty of Color Reception, Outstanding Women of Color Awards, and DDEEA Graduation Celebration.
Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Flores graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Hospitality Management. She has over 11 years of event planning experience specializing in hospitality and inclusion. She joined DDEEA in 2021 after spending 9 years at a Madison non-profit planning their national events.
