Joel Kim Booster will be UW-Madison’s APIDA Heritage Moth keynote speaker. The keynote event will be hosted virtually via Zoom Webinar on Wednesday, April 28th at 6 pm CST.
Joel is a queer Korean American, LA-based actor, comedian, and writer. Born in South Korea and adopted by White American parents in Chicago, Joel’s intersectional identities anchor his comedy. Whether it’s being Asian in a White family, gay in a predominantly straight industry, or Asian within the gay community, Joel navigates identity through his hilarious wit.
