Karla Foster of the Division of Diversity, Equity, & Educational Achievement is taking on an additional role with the Multicultural Student Center in preparation for the opening of a Black Cultural Center on campus.
Foster will spend half of her time with the MSC while continuing her work as campus and community liaison in Pathways to Educational Achievement, housed in DDEEA. At the MSC, Foster will spearhead initiatives related to the cultural center, which is scheduled to open in February.
She will also maintain and grow important collaborations that benefit African-American students on campus, such Ubuntu and Black History Month. She can be reached at karla.foster@wisc.edu.
