Find opportunities to celebrate Pride on the UW–Madison campus and in the surrounding community.
Pride month is celebrated in the month of June to commemorate and celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) culture and history.
In honor of Pride month, the Gender & Sexuality Campus Center and the Wisconsin Alumni Association will host a community gathering on Library Mall with a Wheelhouse Studios art project, accommodations and provided lunch. Wisconsin Historical Society is continuing its traveling exhibit throughout the month — We will Always Be Here: Wisconsin’s LGBTQ+ Historymakers. The exhibit has been traveling around the state since June 1 and lets Wisconsin residents explore the history of LGBTQ+ activism in Wisconsin. Another art exhibit to attend is the Pride Month Gallery being shown from June 14-June 27 on the second floor of the Red Gym. You can check it out at the Class of 1973 Art Gallery.
