The ARTIVISM course has shifted to online delivery. Ben, Gizel, and students enrolled in the course are planning an alternative experience in place of the Contested Homes: Migrant Liberation Movement Suite performance. More information will be posted on our website and shared on social media as details are confirmed.
Through their residency, Ben, Gizel, lead faculty Peggy Choy, and students have been collaborating with numerous guests including Hip-Hop artist Nejma Nefertiti, Yaqui water rights activists Mario Luna Romero and Anahí Ochoa, dancer Lacouir Yancey, librettist Ruth Margraff, and local muralist Rodrigo Carapia. They will also work remotely with musician and poet Charlotte Hill O’Neal aka Mama C.
We invite you to explore photo albums on SmugMug, which capture the spirit of the residency. Photographs captured by Mats Rudels and Maryam Ladoni.
Thank you to all the residency sponsors and supporters along with all the attendees this semester.
