Pride month is celebrated in the month of June to commemorate and celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) culture and history.
In honor of Pride month, the Gender & Sexuality Campus Center and the Wisconsin Alumni Association will host a Pride Picnic at Library Mall on Wednesday, June 25.
The Wisconsin Union Directorate Art Committee is hosting an exhibit, Living Not Just Surviving: Cass Marie Domino, from June 2–September 12 at the main gallery in Memorial Union. The exhibition traces the exceptional decades-long career, activism, and ongoing legacy of Cass Downing, accomplished drag queen, AIDS activist, and trans woman. The exhibit is cosponsored by Madison LGBTQ+ Archive, Open House Learning Community, Division of the Arts, Gender and Sexuality Campus Center, Center for Research on Gender & Women, and Center for Campus History. On June 12, the exhibit will host a brown bag talk at noon and a gallery reception at 5:30 p.m.
