For more than 30 years, the UW–Madison’s Undergraduate Academic Awards has recognized students annually with the Ginsberg Family Awards scholarship. The award was formerly known as Meyerhoff Undergraduate Excellence Awards in honor of the benefactor, successful businessman, and philanthropist Harvey “Bud” Meyerhoff ‘48. The Ginsberg Family Awards continues the tradition of recognizing outstanding Badger leaders. The Ginsberg family offers these awards to honor the late Dean of Students Paul Ginsberg for his profound impact on the campus community and his legacy of transforming the student experience.
