
Anisa Yudawanti is the proud daughter of Muslim Indonesian immigrants and was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education studies and human development and family studies from UW–Madison. She is a proud PEOPLE and Information Technology Academy alumna and is excited to be back supporting the organization that allowed her to thrive as a scholar herself. Before joining PEOPLE, Yudawanti worked at Madison East High school as a U.S. history teacher and ESL advisor. She has also worked at various community organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County and Madison School & Community Recreation. She is a community-based educator specializing in liberatory pedagogy, youth engagement, culturally relevant curriculum and practices, and community partnerships.
