
Cydney M. Edwards serves as associate director for the Office of Multicultural Arts Initiatives. A 2013 graduate of UW–Madison, Edwards earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology with a certificate in Chican@ and Latin@ studies as part of the second cohort of the First Wave Hip Hop & Urban Arts Scholarship Program. While a student at UW, Edwards served as vice president of the Black Student Union, social chair of the Zeta Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and was vice president of The National Pan Hellenic Council. Before returning to UW–Madison, she served as program director of the Miami-Dade Urban Debate League, was an education associate with Young Chicago Authors, and worked with the Chicago nonprofit PepRally Takeover.
