CURE Program summer undergraduate research program

On behalf of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, we would like to extend the invite to the students of the University of Wisconsin to participate in the CURE Program. The CURE Program is a summer undergraduate research program at Northwestern University that enables students from under-served populations to receive state-of-the-art training in laboratory based cancer research on either the Chicago or Evanston Campuses.

In this 8-week program, trainees have the opportunity to learn about the molecular and cellular basis of tumor growth, invasion and metastasis. In addition to the laboratory research, students attend weekly seminars on the basics of cancer research, they receive career counseling and they submit an abstract and make a formal presentation of their research findings at the end of the Program. The goal of the CURE Program is to provide a unique experience that encourages under-served students to pursue careers in cancer research.
