African Students Association presents Africa Week

Africa WeekAfrican Students Association is excited to finally announce our events for Africa Week 2016 ! From learning how to cook sumptuous African dishes to enjoying a night of dance performances,a fashion show and spoken word performances, this year’s Africa week will be a full-on reinforcement and showcase of unabashed African pride!

TASTE OF AFRICA
Monday, April 18th, 2016

Center for Cultural Enrichment (CCE), Witte Hall First Floor

The first night of Africa Week is ALL about the food! We will be spoiling you with an array of mouthwatering, succulent meals coming from a large range of African cuisine. As if that wasn’t good enough, we’ll be showing everyone how to make some of these dishes so that taste bud euphoria doesn’t have to stop there! Featuring favourites like jollof rice, tender sambusas, golden fried plantains, and many more, your stomach will hate you for missing out.

Come and socialize with other students, while snacking and watching a movie that promotes African arts and culture. We will be watching the movie, ‘Fifty’.

Come on over to the SAC to SWEAT it out! Whether you’re looking to learn some moves, get active, de-stress or just have some fun, this event will surely put you in the right mood. Zumba is all about cardio and non-stop dancing so we can’t wait to show you our “African” take on it. LET’S MOVE!
