Outstanding Women of Color honored at UW-Madison

MADISON (WKOW) — Thursday was a night for celebrating accomplishments at UW-Madison.

UW held its 12th annual reception honoring Outstanding Women of Color.

More than 50 women were nominated and seven recognized for their work on campus and in the community.

Gina Green-Harris has worked at the university for 12 years, helping to bring programs that impact health equity and improve outcomes.

“Families, particularly African American and Latino families and other brown families, become more aware of what’s happening with Alzheimer’s disease. I’ve been able to through our work, increase the information, increase the knowledge, but also the willingness to bring families to get diagnosed.”
